Taos Spa and Tennis Club offers a variety of membership options and guest privileges to meet the needs of both permanent and seasonal residents and visitors.
Membership Types
Single Membership · Available to individuals 16 to 64 years of age.
Couple Membership · Includes individuals and their significant other or immediate family member (parent, sibling or child - 21 years or younger) who live in the same household. Proof of cohabitation is required of both parties.
Senior Memberships · Includes individual(s) 65 years or older.
Additional family members · Immediate family members (parent, sibling or child - 21 years or younger) who live in the same household can be added to couples membership. Proof of cohabitation is required of family member(s) added to couples memberships.

Membership Options
Standard Membership • Standard membership is granted on a month-to-month basis. Your membership may cancelled at any time with 10 days written notice. There is no penalty for cancellation.
• Membership may be “frozen” once per year for up to three months.
• There is a $50 initiation fee for standard memberships.
Annual Membership Agreement
We offer a reduced monthly fee for members who commit to remaining members for a full year. The following conditions apply.
• If you resign before completing your contracted period of membership, you agree to pay an early termination fee of $100
• Memberships cannot be “frozen”
• At the end of the annual agreement period you may renew once at the then current annual renewal rate. If you do not renew your contract or resign your membership will automatically convert to a standard month-to-month membership at the then current rate.
• Monthly dues must be paid by electronic transfer (EFT)

Short Term Guests
We provide short term guest membership options for seasonal residents and tourists. All short term guest fees must be paid in advance and are not refundable.
Guests must present a punch card or guest pass for each visit to the club. Punch cards may be used by anyone. Therefore lost punch cards cannot be replaced if lost.

Membership Billing Policies
Bank or Credit Card Drafts
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments are deducted from your bank account on either the 1st or 15th of every month (your choice at time of joining)
Credit cards are charged on the same cycle as EFT billing.
You may change your method of payment at any time in the business office by filling out a Change of Payment Form.
Member Charging Privileges
Members who pay monthly dues by EFT are allowed to charge club products and services on their accounts (except tennis fees). These charges will be included in your account history and will be debited along with our dues. Please inform the Business Office if you would like to revoke charges for anyone on your membership.
Membership Paid in Full
You may choose to pay your membership for one full year in advance through any payment method. Ask about your discount for these prepaid memberships.
Membership Freezes
You must visit the Business Office to fill out a freeze form at least 10 days before you need the account frozen. Memberships may be frozen for a maximum of three months per year. Memberships are frozen on calendar month intervals.
Policies and Procedures
The Taos Spa & Tennis Club has developed policies to provide a safe and healthy environment for members, guests, and employees. The policies listed below are those most asked about, and is not a complete listing of all rules. A complete list of policies is available upon request.
We reserve the right to suspend or withdraw club privileges from any member who, in our opinion, has abused privileges or engages in conduct detrimental to the club, members, or employees. Revocation of privileges becomes effective immediately.
Membership cards are issued to all members and long-term guests. Cards must be presented upon entering the club. These cards are non-transferable. There is a $3.00 replacement fee for lost cards.
Valuable and Personal Property
The Taos Spa & Tennis Club, its affiliates, agents, or employees, will not be liable for any advertent or inadvertent loss, theft, or damage to any property brought onto club property.
Lost and Found
Should you accidentally leave your belongings in the club, please immediately report your loss to the Front Desk.
Lockers
Daily lockers are available free of charge in both locker rooms. We have a limited number of locks available. We encourage you to provide your own key or combination lock, but please remove your lock when you leave the premises. A limited number of annual locker rentals are also available. See the Business Office for details.
Towel Service
Towels are available for a $1 charge at the Member Service Desk. Used towels must be returned at the Desk .
Reservations
Reservations for racquetball courts, tanning and all club services, programs and events can be made at the front desk.
No Smoking
For the comfort of our members and guests smoking or use of other tobacco products is not permitted anywhere on club property. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR DRUGS are allowed on premises.
Club Hours
Club hours are subject to change. We reserve the right to close the club for holidays, weather-related emergencies, or for any unforeseen reason deemed appropriate by the manager on duty.
Attire
Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times inside the club. Appropriate attire and shoes must be worn on courts. Street shoes are not permitted in studios. Muddy shoes and shoes with embedded dirt are not permitted in any area of the club except the looby and locker rooms.
Personal hygiene
Members must maintain a level of personal hygiene that does not result in offensive odors that are objectionable to other members and guests. Members are discouraged from wearing perfumes and colognes.
Holidays and hours
Management reserves the right to close the club from time to time for holidays, weather-related emergencies, or for any unforeseen reason deemed appropriate by the manager on duty. Please be sure to call first to check class times, as they will vary on reduced hour days.
Holidays
The club is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day and has limited hours on Christmas Eve, New Years Day, 4th of July and our Employee Holiday Party.
Guests
The Taos Spa & Tennis Club is a private club, which protects the privileges of members by requiring that all guests agree to adhere to club protocol when entering. The policies established are strictly enforced regarding use of the club and its facilities by non-members.
* The Taos Spa & Tennis Club is a proud member of IHRSA, (International Health, Racquet & Sports Association) a nonprofit trade association for owners and managers of quality racquet and fitness clubs across the world. There are over 3,600 clubs associated with IHRSA. You may visit those clubs when traveling. Most clubs will offer a discounted guest fee by showing your valid Taos Spa & Tennis Club membership card.
